Over the years humans have grown out of the caves which were their habitats. They have learnt to cook, farm and make things on their own. They lived in small groups which often used to in-fight among themselves. They were afraid of fire, floods, thunder, lightning and other natural occurrences and worshiped them with a reverence to save them from the impact.

When time went on, they had learnt to barter/trade things with the other similar groups to improve their livelihood. In a way bartering broke their age old idea of plundering other groups to gain/achieve the resources they needed. This economic activity had broken the need of violence and helped humans to acquire their need without the use of muscle power. The act had helped them to make use of surplus commodities and also made them dependable on others for their needs. This made people to walk out of their sub local silos and communicate with each other.

There history saw the fall and rise of kingdoms which brought men and women in affiliation to a bigger group. In a way it was necessary to bring people together towards a common identity. Simultaneously, the fear towards natural elements which people had, developed into a concept of submission called religion for the elements of nature which were the reason behind the calamity/cause.

The cycle didn’t stop there.Humans then became more curious about learning the scientific elements which were found in the course of their life. They learnt about the flora, fauna, minerals and other materials available on the earth from the crust to its core. This learning led to a structure to create a concept called education which gave people access to the accrued experience and knowledge. Thus, the period where wars were waged for food and other natural resources broke.

Monarchies fell and the concept of democracy evolved. If you do look back, people loved the change and accepted it with open arms. That’s how democracy evolved from a liberal Utopian idea to a reality of today.

Today if you observe around, Humans have started to lose the character. They have started to travel and enjoy/ experience other cultures and cuisines. They have learnt languages to communicate. They have created emojis to break the communication barriers. They are on social media platforms connecting with people living in different geographies and time zones. They have learnt to share stories, pains and advice. They listen to the world around and try to help in the way of donation in kind or cash when there is a calamity. Though there is violence still on earth, humans have evolved to associate themselves with bigger groups over a period of time. They have continuously evolved intellectually, culturally and in other aspects simultaneously to the phase where they have arrived today. Thus, the concept of culture, society, state and all have evolved over a period of time to shed the skin of the past to something new over and over again.

Whenever I think about this whole process of evolution, its beautiful. It has tried to instill a new sense of belonging and attachments in every human being by making them part of the process. It has moved them slowly from the stone age cavemen who hunted for resources to the humans who are willing to share a part of their income for a cause in a country beyond their horizon.

Thus so many dots have joined to form a bigger circle which has continuously increased its circumference by assimilating so many cultures, ideologies and concepts in itself. It never took the present or the past as the standard and became adamant about its status in the past.

Then what’s wrong with the current society? Are we by choosing a stance and calling the current or past status of the society as a standard, we are hurting this extraordinary process of evolution?!

Shouldn’t we let the circle grow bigger from the shackles of language, religion, region and Color??! I guess we should flow with the change and let the circle grow bigger and better.
