How intriguing and conflicting a plot can become, when you put an Afghan war veteran who is still suffering from the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as a Body Guard to a Politician who steadfast leads a campaign supporting the wars in Afghan & Iraq. Its captivating in fifteen minutes as the plot twists and turns with racy chasing scenes, boardroom arguments, gun shots, ticking bombs, political rivalry, power corridor struggles, failed marriages and an affair.

The story gets the power from the characters who are sharp in looks and strong in character, Julia Montague (Played by Keeley Hawes) and Sergeant David Budd (Played by Richard Madden). They just bring energy in each and every scene as the story slowly unfolds. But, this is again a story like Game of thrones which tells you that the concept of “no die” character is dead in modern Television. It surprises you at first, but then you accept that George R R Martin has trained you already for such scenes.

As the drama unfolds itself, there presents a huge task which is way above the pay checks of most characters in the story. End of the day, the story is all about persistence, patience and power struggle. There are few things which I love about the story line is the portrayal of the struggle the hero goes through with PTSD. This in a way is going to educate thousands of families and relatives of soldiers about the trauma war veterans go through. It also would give hope to people that the soldiers will be able to overcome it with a little help.

What else do we want in a television series?! It gets you hooked to the story in no time and keeps your adrenaline high. Worth a watch — Body Guard.
